Thank You Marketing

thank you noteThe Importance of Thank You Marketing

The main goal of relationship marketing is to develop long-term relationships with your customers/clients. If you think about it, chances are you get the majority of your business from repeat clients, not new ones. Therefore, it is extremely important to nurture the relationships with those who use regularly use and re-use your products and services.

We are not suggesting you become buddy-buddy with your customers/clients; of course, you need to maintain professionalism, but you do need to look at each interaction as one marketing event that builds on top of other marketing events.

So how do you do this? First, put in the effort and follow-up with customers/clients. Example - J & J Jewelry. Every time a customer buys a piece of jewelry, no matter what the price, J & J Jewelry immediately schedules birthday cards, thank you cards, and follow-up cards to that customer. J & J Jewelry operates on the idea that it is important to build relationships with their customers.

This strategy actually achieved two important goals at once. One, it gave the customer a “warm and fuzzy” that their jeweler remembered their birthday, or sent a note to say that they hoped that the piece of jewelry they purchased was bring them joy. Two, it kept their jewelers name in front of their customers. Maybe it was just once or twice a year, but J & J Jewelry feels comfortable knowing that they never let a customer slip through the cracks.

Today with email, it’s much easier to keep in touch, or at least we think so. Companies don’t need an entire business to serve their follow-up needs (or maybe they do), but follow-up really is an incredibly important aspect of relationship marketing.

People are busy and with the deluge of emails people receive today, many of them just do not get opened. Plus when have you or somebody you know gotten all excited about opening an email – it’s just not the same as going to the mail box to receive a piece of mail that is inviting and fun to hold, open and read. When you send a special “Thank You” card to one of your clients it shows that you really care, and that you took the time to thank them for their business (no matter how much they spend).

We're sure you'll agree that fostering long-term relationships with customers should be at the top of every company’s priority list. That’s why we have developed a “Thank You” marketing program that is turn-key, on time and with the right message. We take the hassle out of your busy schedule with our Thank You Marketing Program. After all, you owe it to your customers to show them how special they are to you and your business, because without them you would not have a business. After all, your customers found the time and money to go out and shop for you, and even picked your business too boot!

Here are the top 5 reasons to immediately start using our “Thank You Marketing Program” today!

  1. Writing a thank you card breaks through the digital clutter of our lives…
We receive so much mental noise through our ear phones and computer screens. A thank you card is a pleasant interruption of the digital noise around us and brings a smile to the recipient's face.

  2. Thank you cards show you care…
By taking the time to write a note of thanks, the recipient knows that you really value them. We are so busy running our businesses that we don't take the time to breathe, think and express thankfulness. In many cases, a hand written thank you note goes farther than a $50 gift certificate from Amazon.com.

  3. Building relationships of trust and "like" are important in business…
OPEN Forum writer John Jantsch says, “Marketing is getting people to know, like and trust you”. Thank you cards help make this happen in a big way.

  4. Don't be forgotten…
A few years ago I bought some tickets to go on a trip from an online ticket service. A friend of mine who sells tickets asked me why I did not turn to him. It was nothing personal, but I simply forgot that he sold tickets at the time I was browsing around Travelocity.com. Thank you cards help people to not forget about you. Send thank you cards and send them liberally.

  5. Thank you cards are great marketing tools …
Have you ever wondered why real-estate agents always have their picture on their business card? One day I stopped a real estate agent and asked why she put her face on her business cards, she knew when she handed a customer her card they would never forget her face and always be able to put a face with a name.

Sending a few thank you cards, over the course of a year is a good way to say thank you, but also market your business. Why do you think Amazon.com, Dell and others have their logo all over their boxes?
